CIC held its 2024 Annual Conference on January 12 and 13, 2024. The conference reviewed CIC’s operation and management in 2023, shed light on current trends and challenges, and outlined priorities for 2024.

In 2023, underpinned by the implementation of its new strategic plan, CIC performed well in its overseas investment business against strong complexities in the global market, achieved value preservation and growth of state-owned financial capital, and enhanced growth of the CIC Group companies, with a more sophisticated risk management system put in place and new progress made on high-quality development.

In the future implementation of its new strategic plan, CIC will continue to pursue high-quality development, remain committed to its mandate, and seek to play a more important role in global economic development. We aim to build CIC into a world-class sovereign wealth fund, Central Huijin into a central-level manager of entrusted state-owned financial assets, as well as the other CIC Group companies into leaders in their own domains.
